Privacy policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Sneha Maurya collects when you use Nivaen, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to sell you digital products and deliver them.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, and your password — stored only in a scrambled form that we can't read. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Your orders: what you bought, the prices, any coupon, and the order and payment reference numbers and dates.
- Payments: handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay; we only receive the payment's reference number and whether it succeeded.
- Downloads: when you download a file, the time, your IP address and your browser type — so we can spot misuse of download links.
- What you choose to share: reviews, your wishlist and cart, and any messages you send us.
- Anonymous statistics: how often each product page is viewed or added to a cart — recorded without any link to you, your IP address or a cookie.
How we use it
- To deliver your purchases and keep them available in your Library.
- To run your account and send service emails: receipts, payment problems, password resets and a welcome message.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds and complaints.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the store secure.
- To keep the records that tax and accounting laws require.
We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked us to.
Cookies and similar storage
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. The store can't work without it.
- Your light or dark theme choice, saved in your browser.
- A note in your browser, cleared when you close the tab, so a product view is counted only once per visit.
- A discount code, if you arrived by a link carrying one, kept until it reaches your basket.
We also use advertising cookies: Meta's (Facebook and Instagram) cookies, which tell us whether an advert led to a sale, and our own note of which advert or link brought you here.
These are set when you arrive. Your browser's privacy settings can block them, and you can write to us at the address below to have your details removed from our advertising records — we'll do it and confirm.
When you pay, Razorpay's checkout window is covered by Razorpay's own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the companies that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:
- Razorpay, to take payments;
- our website host, database provider and file storage provider;
- our email delivery provider, to send your receipts and account emails;
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google;
- Meta — so that it can tell us which of our adverts worked. We send your email address and customer number scrambled into an unreadable code, never in a form Meta could read, along with what you viewed or bought.
Some of these providers may store data outside India. We also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details while your account is open. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even if you close your account. Download records are kept with your order history.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or update it;
- delete your account and data, except records we must keep by law;
- withdraw consent you've given, and nominate someone to act for you.
Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll respond as the law requires.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored scrambled, payments go through Razorpay, download links expire after five minutes, and only people who run the store can see order details. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affected your data, we would tell you as the law requires.
Children
The store is meant for adults. If you're under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian's permission.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, the date at the top changes too. Questions or complaints about your data go to our grievance officer:
